Terms of Service

Effective date: July 6, 2026

1. Purpose and acceptance

These Terms of Service govern your use of the browser-based video editing and AI content generation service (the “Service”) provided by Topping (“we”, “us”), and set out the rights and obligations between Topping and its members.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Definitions

  • “Service” means all features we provide through the topping.video domain, including video editing, rendering, and AI content generation.
  • “Member” means a person who agrees to these Terms and creates an account to use the Service.
  • “Credits” means the in-service usage units consumed by paid features such as AI generation.
  • “AI Output” means images, videos, voices, and other results generated by AI models from a member’s prompts.
  • “Member Content” means videos, images, audio, project data, and other content that a member uploads to or creates and edits within the Service.

3. The Service

We provide the following:

  • A browser-based video editor (timeline editing, captions, effects, and more)
  • Cloud rendering and video export
  • AI image, video, and voice generation and automatic captions (speech recognition) powered by third-party AI models
  • YouTube video import and stock media search

We may change, add, or discontinue all or part of the Service to improve it. We will give advance notice of material changes.

4. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and up-to-date information at signup.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and may not transfer or lend your account to a third party.
  • You must be at least 14 years old to use the Service.
  • Each person may create only one account.

5. Subscriptions, payments, and credits

  • Paid subscriptions are processed by our payment provider, Polar. Payment details such as card information are held by Polar, not by us.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly or yearly basis.
  • Plan upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated charge for the remaining period. Downgrades take effect at the next billing date, and until then you keep your current plan. When a change that switches the billing cycle (monthly to yearly or vice versa) takes effect immediately, a new billing cycle starts at that point, so your next billing date changes. You may cancel a scheduled change before it takes effect.
  • Credits reset to your plan’s allowance each billing cycle. Unused credits do not roll over.
  • If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the paid period, after which your account moves to the Free plan.

6. Refunds and withdrawal

  • You may withdraw from a purchase within 7 days of payment if you have not used the Service, in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.
  • Refunds may be limited to the extent permitted by law for digital services already provided — for example, where credits have been consumed or paid features have been used during the period.
  • Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights.

7. Member Content

  • You retain ownership of your Member Content.
  • You grant us a license to host, store, process, transmit, and render your Member Content solely to the extent needed to operate and provide the Service. We do not use it for any other purpose.
  • You warrant that you hold the necessary rights to the content you upload, and you are responsible for content that infringes third-party rights.

8. AI Output

  • To the extent permitted by applicable law and the policies of the AI model providers, rights in AI Output belong to you.
  • AI generation features are provided through third-party model providers, whose usage policies may additionally apply.
  • We do not warrant that AI Output is accurate, unique, or non-infringing. You are responsible for reviewing AI Output and using it lawfully.

9. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • Create or distribute content that violates the law or infringes third-party rights
  • Impersonate others, spread false information, or misuse deceptive content such as deepfakes
  • Circumvent credits, usage limits, or access restrictions
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or make automated bulk access to the Service
  • Resell or commercially redistribute the Service or accounts
  • Interfere with the normal operation of the Service

10. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, brand, and logos are owned by Topping. These Terms grant you only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service.

11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

  • The Service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.
  • This section does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law, such as liability arising from our willful misconduct or gross negligence.

12. Suspension and termination

  • We may restrict your use of the Service or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
  • You may terminate the agreement at any time by deleting your account.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when necessary. Updated Terms take effect upon notice within the Service; for material changes that are unfavorable to members, we will give advance notice before they apply. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes arising in connection with the Service shall be brought before the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act of Korea.
